How do they make batteries different voltages when they’re all different sizes?
Just curious.Does anyone know how they make batteries have different voltages when the size obviously does factor in?
The voltage of a battery depends on the basic chemistry of the cell. An alkaline battery has a cell voltage 1.5 volts, a lead acid battery has a 2.0 volt cell voltage, NiCad has 1.2 volts per cell. For more voltage, you simple connect cells together is series. The size of the cell depends on what current you want the battery to produce. The bigger the cell, the more current is can provide. The size doesn’t affect the voltage.
